I'm using v0.23 with DVD Rebuilder, but I get output files that are around 3.35GB, instead of the expected 4.35GB. (This is for DVD9 source with 2hr 15min movie plus 1hr special features).

@Peter, It's not a bug, the program hc encoder does not create any vob files.
hc encoder only creates m2v files.
You have to use another application like dvdlab to author a dvd.

Can HC convert PAL to NTSC? If so, how? I'm having fits. If so, is there a guide? If this is the wrong place for this question, please direct me to the proper forum. Thanks.

The encoder is good, but it does NOT support multi-core, do not lie to the people...It hits less than 50% load on an INTEL Q6600 quad core cpu, and starts with low priority...

First of all, this is the best encoder available, bar none. But I've gone back to using version .22 because .23 doesn't want to keep track of my settings. EG: Max bit rate, and aspect ratio. I like the new features added, but knowing that I don't have to check my settings every time is more important to me.

Great work Hank on a first rate video encoder. I look forward to every new version.

Hi Hank !
Lovely work.
One bug found so far:
HC 0.23 seems to output interlaced TFF,
even if progressive is specified.
(Just tested with progressive NTSC, exported from DVDLab 2.50 as Motion Menu in progressive uncompressed AVI.
Checked with GSpot 2.70a.
Was ok in HC 0.22.

Very good job! I've some problems with DVD Rebuilder Free Edition (0.98). It works fine with HC Encoder up to version 0.21! Newers versions are incompatible with DGDecode.dll, even if I copy it from directory that came with HC. I have tried with GUI and have the same error, no DGEncode.dll matched! Please help, I'm running in Core 2 Duo Box and I can´t use SMP because 0.21 doesn´t support it. Any question feel free to ask me!

Regards.
