New ConvertXtoDVD and PhotoDVD released

VSO has updated their market leading AVI/MOV/MPG/WMV files to DVD-R conversion software, ConvertXtoDVD. New version comes with a few bug fixes, including an option to automatically shut down after conversion. They have also updated their PhotoDVD software with a new preview feature.

Samsung delays Blu-ray player

While the HD-DVD camp is launching, the Blu-ray camp is stalling. According to the Samsung spokesperson, the delay is due to compatibility testing and according to Samsung the same common reason is behind all Blu-ray player delays, from other manufacturers as well.

Samsung delays Blu-ray Disc player until late June

Samsung is rescheduling its initial U.S. Blu-Ray player launch from May 23 to June 25. According to the company, the hardware development for Samsung’s BD-P1000 Blu-Ray player is complete and ready for mass production, once some compatibility tests are passed.
