Sony:”The format war is over”

In the next generation recording format war Sony now feels comfortable enough to declare it’s own victory. With the addition of Warner Brothers to support the Blu-ray optical media format, Sony now has five out of six major Hollywood studios in the Blu-ray team.

It really seems that Sony and Blu-ray is really getting an advantage. Blu-ray has had more visibility and attention than the rival HD-DVD. The PlayStation 3 will automatically guarantee millions of supporting playback devices. And last but not the least it seems that in peoples’ opinion, Blu-ray is the leader.
