Xbox 360 to outsell Wii and PS3 during holidays?

Sony and Nintendo are be in big trouble if the consumers turn out to be impatient and buy the Xbox 360 for Christmas. While PS3 has serious availability problems, and the Wii has a limited availability, the Xbox 360 has been available for some time and Microsoft has had plenty of time to prepare for the season.

Consumers’ decision to buy Xbox rather than the new competition would of course be devastating blows to Sony and Nintendo. Wii relies on cheap price and new kind of interactivity, but in technologically in the previous generation with less than impeessive specs. Failing to impress the consumers now is most likely a failure to impress them ever.

Sony has the most impressive specs and concept, but the console arrived very very late, and is plagued by some software bugs as well, just like the Xbox 360 was when first released. Will the consumers be happy to wait over Christmas to get the highest performance technology, or will they go for the Xbox 360 which is a pretty good contender except for the lack of integrated Blu-ray (or HD-DVD) drive? According to many business analysts, the PS3 success is crucial for Sony which is having tough times financially.
