Welcome To The BitBurners.com!

What you are seeing now is one of the oldest web sites in the
so called CD/DVD scene, which has now been renamed and rebuilt from
scratch. The history of this website goes back to 1997, and it was
previously well known as the CD-RW.ORG. But now the winds of change are blowing.

What new can a new website bring the scene which has been dominated
only by a few large sites in the recent years. Well, perhaps the key is
not what we deliver, but rather what we are not.

Non-intrusive advertising: The
BitBurners will not flood your browser with popups, cripple the forum
with adverts, or display otherwise obstructive and misleading
advertising. As all web sites, we also have to pay the server costs but
we dont want to see you as just another dime into our pocket - we like
to see our users as individuals, not as revenue streams.

Community oriented: The
BitBurners’ primary focus is to create an exciting community. We want
the information to flow freely in between the members, staff and to all directions, instead of just pushing you whatever content we are able to produce.

For the people, with the industry:
As we have been around for a long time we had good contacts within the
software and hardware vendors in the industry. We want to work with the
industry in order to serve the community better, but we will never
compromise our independence or work in favor of any third party.

We are not blue and orange: Where is the originality these days? We have mean green layout. We bleed green!

But a community is a sum of it’s valued members. Therefore I would like
think about the pointers above, and if you agree that it is time for a
change in the scene go ahead a sign up. If you feel like publishing
content, perhaps a review, guide or an article, then this is your place
to be. We are constantly looking for editors to our team!

We are the BitBurners and we burn a bit. Don’t be a stranger and join us in our mission!
