I do have a daughter, her name is Paige. She is now 9-mos old (8-mos at posting). I mentioned that typically mother and daughter receive gifts but, father received little to nothing (at least, in my case). Mother has received gift certificates to various stores, needless to say, there have been clothes galore for mother and child. I’ve received many cards of “Congrats” and such (which still means a lot) but, as you can see, the father is left out of many things. Their have been baby showers before the baby was born and baby showers after the baby is born and, typically, fathers are not invited. I can’t say that I am jealous as, it does help the family overall however, I am sure other fathers can sympathize with what I am going through.
