Plextor announces 18x DVD burner

Plextor PX-760A can write with 18x speed to 16x DVD±R media and 10x speed to DVD+R Double Layer media. It can also read DVD±R media at 18X Speed. PX-760A drive should be the world’s fastest single layer and double layer DVD burner in the market!

There were couple of quality scans in the Plextor Japan site. Here in the first graph you can see how well Plextor PX-760A performs with 18x speed (CAV).

The second graph shows how well PX-760A can perform with DVD+R Double Layer media at 10x speed (P-CAV).

The PX-750A was also announced. It supports reading and writing to DVD-RAM media. The PX-750A write with 16x speed for single layer DVD media and 8x for Double Layer DVD media.
