Download managers and web accelerators blocked

Since today we are blocking a number so called ‘download manager’ and ‘web accelerator’ software from accessing the BitBurners.com. This is due to the recent incidents of such software causing excess server load and bandwidth consumption.

It was necessary to take this action as we noticed that someone was causing a severe load on our servers with the Free Download Manager software. This turned out to be a know fault in the the software and potentially a very dangerous one.

Therefore Free Download Manager and a number of other software considered potentially harmful are now blocked. If this is a problem for you, then please disable the download manager and/or web accelerator temporarily and contact us.
